March 2013 : MIOA Acoustician joins Monowa

Monowa welcome on board Chris Wood, MIOA, a member of the Institute of Acoustics who has 20 years experience in Acoustics and is a specialist in Architectural Acoustic Design. Chris, who comes to us from the renowned Sharps Redmore consultancy, said, “this is a great step forward for me and a giant leap for Monowa”. At Monowa’s in-house testing facility at our factory in Macclesfield we have been focusing on the in-situ sound insulation performance of our operable wall systems for the past 18 months. The results of our product development enable us to provide a true representation of what can be expected for the client and ultimately the end user when the systems are installed, as opposed to Laboratory tests which are carried under ‘perfect conditions’. Under our new management, and with the help of our dedicated design team, clients can be assured that all acoustic certification supplied by Monowa represents the true sound insulation performance of our operable wall systems in real life situations and are the genuine article.
