News At Olsen Doors & Windows: Windows Upgrade to Siegenia Hardware.

26-11-2015

Olsen’s tilt and turn window systems now use hinges and operating mechanisms from the German hardware manufacturer Siegenia. The Thermo 80 and Elite 92 windows now come with factory fitted Titan AF mechanisms which allow for the windows ever popular one handled, tilt & turn operation – a mechanism first developed by Siegenia. With sophisticated aesthetics, high functionality and unparalleled convenience the Titan AF hardware is developed with usability, looks and durability in mind. The mechanism uses mushroom cams which automatically compensate for any manufacturing tolerances or movement within the window frame itself ensuring smooth running parts with virtually no wear guaranteeing a long life-span. There are a number of different security levels of the mechanisms from 1 point locking, right through to an 8 point locking system which achieves intruder resistance level 2 (RC2). The Siegenia range also comes with a hidden hinge mechanism which is installed within the window sash and completely concealed, creating a modern, sleek look without any hinges on view.
