Liffey Valley Shopping Centre is a shopping centre located close to Clondalkin in Dublin. The centre which opened on October 14, 1998 is located at the junction of the M50 motorway and N4 road. In February 2015, Liffey Valley announced that it was to begin a €26 million expansion of the shopping centre. The expansion brought six new restaurants to the shopping centre including Prezzo and TGI Fridays. As well as expanding the Vue cinema and building a new Penneys which opened on the 6th December 2016. In conjunction with this expansion the interior of the centre has undergone a major revamp which included the replacement of the furniture throughout the mall. Omos produced a number of concepts in response to the management’s brief. The brief required the solution to offer informal seating to cater for young and old alike and to combine an element of planting. The solution could not obstruct the line of sight across the mall nor pedestrian movement throughout and it was important that aesthetically it reflected the contemporary theme present throughout. The chosen concept was deemed to be aesthetically unique and attractive while simultaneously answering the practical demands of the brief. In addition to these bespoke pieces Omos provided new litterbins from the s45 range.
