In 2010, St. Vincent's Private Hospital reopened in a new state of the art building designed by Scott Tallon Walker, one of Europe’s leading Architectural Firms. ‘The design brief for the new private hospital on the St. Vincent’s University Hospital campus called for a centre of excellence unrivalled in private healthcare in Ireland, not only in the model of care but also in the built environment. The facility was commissioned to replace the existing 40 year old St. Vincent’s Private Hospital. The co location of private and public medical facilities on the one campus forms part of the government health strategy.’ The t1 litterbin, the s96w seat and the s71 cycle stand sit equally well next to the trademark clean sophisticated STW architecture as do they on the outskirts next to the traditional stone wall.
