THESE BOOTS WERE MADE FOR WORKING

03-06-2014

Matthew Sim of Eastbourne-based homeless support organisation BHT recently wrote to us to thank us for our help in securing employment for one of their clients who couldn’t start work without one essential item of workwear! BHT Tweeted a plea for help for a young man who they had successfully placed in accommodation and who had managed to secure a full-time job which was due to start on the following Monday. However, a condition of his offer of employment was to wear steel toe caps boots in order to adhere to Health and Safety regulations. Under his circumstances at the time he was not surprisingly unable to afford to buy a pair. Parkers were quick to offer to help, sending across a pair of high quality Dickies boots, and as a result he was able to start his new employment without the worry of turning up without the regulation footwear and potentially being turned away. Parkers Product News BHT, originally known as Brighton Housing Trust, now works in and around most of the Sussex area with its stated mission to combat homelessness, create opportunities and promote change. It can rightly claim pride in its achievements in helping over 10,000 people a year to tackle the causes of homelessness, poverty and marginalisation and to help them deal with the consequences.
