AWARDS NOMINATION SUCCESS FOR REHAU

REHAU is celebrating after its newly launched RAUVITHERM Cool pre-insulated header pipe was shortlisted in this year’s National Heat Pump Awards. RAUVITHERM Cool is one of just five products to make the final in the Product Innovation of the Year - Ancillary Components category, with the winner to be announced at the ICC in Birmingham on Thursday 19 June. Steve Richmond, Business Team Manager responsible for REHAU’s range of renewable energy products, said: “RAUVITHERM Cool is optimised for lower temperature applications than REHAU’s standard RAUVITHERM PE-Xe pipework to enable designers and contractors to put together ground source heat pump schemes which are both energy and cost efficient. “The Awards judges have recognised the technical innovation behind the product which meets a very specific need in the ground source market as an insulated header pipe for heat pumps, as well as its very real commercial benefits. “Using PE 100 carrier pipe and a high quality PEX foam insulation with a robust bonded LLD-PE outer jacket, RAUVITHERM Cool represents a new way to reduce heat losses between the manifold chamber and the building. “Produced at our dedicated pipework production facility in North Wales, RAUVITHERM Cool also has the advantage of a low carbon footprint.”
