Rockbond Worktop Concrete

ROCKBOND WORKTOP CONCRETE (RB WTC) powder is a premixed, ready to use, cementitious concrete powder. The compound contains a blend of fine cement powders, acrylic co-polymer resins, fibres, graded crushed rock sands and aggregates and a combination of compatible admixtures. The compound, when mixed with water, produces a light grey, flowing concrete which is applied to various shaped moulds to form concrete worktops, concrete furniture and precast concrete products. The surface of the hardened concrete is strong, tough, hard, durable, waterproof and resistant to chemical attack. The powder is packaged in 25kg moisture proof, durable bags and has a shelf life of 5 years. At £36.00 for a standard ‘Natural Grey’ 25kg bag, it can also be bespoke ordered in any colour – for example, if the worktop is to match tiles/curtains in a kitchen area. A colour chart is available. Rockbond can also supply equipment needed: · A metal stirring attachment that fits a standard drill (to mix the product) · Large mixing container (so an entire 25kg bag can just be emptied and mixed) · Acrylic Sealer – for sealing the worktop and protect it from stains/acids (lemon, red wine, salt etc) · Steel fibres – to add to the powder as an alternative to a steel mesh. This strengthens the worktop if it is very large, or being made in a mould and manoeuvred. RB WTC is very versatile, as it has also been used to screed over stairs, made into outdoor BBQ areas/tables and made into dishes/vases.
