Australia business grows as SAS International expands to meet demand

SAS International has announced today that it has acquired the assets of Sydney-based ceiling distributor, Mikor. SAS International, the global provider of interior fit out solutions, is already a market leader in Australia with its range of metal ceiling systems, and this move further strengthens its position. A well-established brand, SAS International has operated in Australia for over 25 years. With the move to purchase the assets of such an established distributor as Mikor completed, SAS International is now well placed to increase its resources and service provision for the entire Australian market. It anticipates its technical design capabilities and manufacturing excellence will be well received to meet increasing demand in the commercial property market for high quality internal finishes. Mikor has been supplying SAS International products and systems to projects across Australia over a number of years, where the high quality, durable, acoustic performance, mechanical & electrical integration and aesthetic demands have been met by metal ceiling systems. SAS International (Australia), will be based in Sydney with an office and sales operation at Level 2, 93 Bathurst Street, with additional warehousing facilities at a separate location. It complements projects already utilising SAS International ceiling systems which are already installed in the award-winning Commonwealth Bank Place and Darling Quarter development as well as 1 Bligh Street, Sydney. This news further strengthens SAS International’s position as a global provider of metal ceiling solutions and Architectural Metalwork for the interior fit-out market. The company currently has a head office, three manufacturing facilities in the UK, a Middle East office and warehouse facilities in Dubai.
