The SOPREMA Group was founded by Mr. Charles Geisen, who invented the Mammoth Membrane, a breakthrough in modern waterproofing membranes. The current chairman, Mr. Pierre Etienne Bindschedler, represents the third generation of the founding family. Under his leadership, SOPREMA has become a global leader in the development and manufacture of waterproofing membranes. The SOPREMA Group boasts 101 production sites worldwide, employs 9,720 people, and operates 17 R&D centres and 22 training centres across 8 countries.
