Poplar Farm Flowers is a Spalding based company that have specialised in the wholesale of British flowers and plants for the past 10 years. Due to company expansion they decided to enhance their site operations by building new premises. The company, which is often visited by major retailers, was looking for a durable yet attractive floor finish for a number of areas within the new factory. South Lincolnshire Construction, who had previously worked with The National Flooring Company, was employed to undertake the flooring project as part of a large refurbishment. Having seen the benefits that The National Flooring Company could provide they recommended their services to Poplar Farm Flowers. One of the fundamental requirements of the project was to create a bespoke finish to match the company’s corporate identity. As with any company who supplies to major retailers the visual appearance of a premise can be just as significant as the products they provide. Following an initial consultation it was decided that the Degafloor Flake system presented the best solution due to its ability to create a unique colour finish. To create a finish that matched their brand, Poplar Farm Flowers made use of the bespoke sample making service provided by The National Flooring Company. This process allowed the client to view the raw samples and modify them accordingly until a suitable match was agreed. The Degafloor Flake system offers exceptional durability and as the system is seamless the ease of aftercare was a substantial advantage. To accommodate the building programme schedule and the company’s operation processes the installation was split into two phases. The flooring was installed in to the reception, canteen and WC’s.
