Applying a water-based acrylic resin will once more allow your roof to repel water, dirt and oils. WHAT IF MY HOUSE IS LESS THAN 20 YEARS OLD? You can still have your roof coated to extend its life or it may benefit from a simple wash and biocide to clean and protect it from the growth of algaes and lichen. WHAT GUARANTEES DOES A ROOF COAT HAVE? At UK Roofcoating we follow the manufacturer's guidelines of 10-12 years of protection, depending on your choice of product. It depends on the size of your roof, how much debris has accumulated and the weather. Small to medium properties 2-3 days, large properties upto 5 days. Quicker and far less disruptive than a new roof.
