Although for many buying a shipping container may seem like a complex task, infact it is incredibly simple. Your first consideration is to decide on the size of container you would like to buy. Willbox provide storage containers in sizes 5’, 6’, 7’, 8’ and 9’ in length. Our ISO Shipping containers are available in 10’,20’ 30’, and 40’ Other sizes are also available, however these would have to be specially made by our experience container conversions team. You may also want a specific type of container; Willbox offer the UK’s widest range of storage containers and ISO Shipping containers, and these are available in the following types. General Purpose container, tunnel container, open sided container, high cube container, open top container, platform containers, and flat rack containers. We also provide speciality containers such as Offshore DNV 2.7-1 containers, and Refrigerated Containers. Once you have decided on the type and size of container you require, Willbox have the ability to provide you with a colour of your choice. We often find that containers being situated in rural areas are better in Green, and clients buying a container in urban areas often prefer a Blue container. The next thing to do is call your local Willbox office and discuss your purchase with one of our expert sales team. All of our sales staff are trained to evaluate your needs and requirements and ensure that you are choosing the correct container. SHIPPING CONTAINER PURCHASE Some of the things to consider when purchasing a storage container, or shipping container are: What size container do I need to store my goods? Do I need to have an insulated container? Do I need electrics in my container? What container can I fit on my site? Is there adequate access and space on my site for a container? Do I have a suitable base for the container to sit on? Am I better off to have a couple of smaller containers rather than one large container? If you have any other questions that you would like to ask our team will be able to advise you, and help you on your way to purchase your perfect steel container. HOW IS THE CONTAINER DELIVERED? Our containers are all delivered using hiab crane vehicles so that they can be expertly situated on your site, so that you don’t have to worry about unloading it yourself. If you have the facility to offload a container at your site, we can arrange for one of our non-crane vehicles to deliver it. Delivery without a crane vehicle is cheaper, and often quicker to arrange. CAN I COLLECT MY SHIPPING CONTAINER? We are more than happy for you to collect you own container, and we ask is that you provide the details of the vehicle collecting the container, and that the trailer will be adequate to load it. Once you have provided these details we will give your haulier a release reference, and the unique number of your container. HOW MUCH DOES DELIVERY OF A SHIPPING CONTAINER COST? This differs depending on a number of factors. If your site is a long distance from our storage depot you can expect the price to be slightly higher, also the access to the site may be a factor. The main differences in price however are down to the size of your container, and 40’ containers require an articulated lorry, and therefore can be substantially more expensive. HOW TO I PAY FOR A CONTAINER? If you are looking to purchase a lot of steel containers, either for resale, or you wish start a self-storage company; you may wish to set up an account with Willbox so that you can obtain a credit limit and pay our invoices with a 30 day credit term. Alternatively is you only require a single container, you can pay prior to delivery in a number of ways. Willbox can accept payment by Cash, Cheque, BACs, Credit Card (not including American Express), and on paypal. Once Willbox have cleared funds the container will be delivered to your premises.
