July 2013 - European Technical Approval and CE Marking for Gebrik

We are delighted to announce that our Belgian partners Isosystems have achieved CE marking and a new European Technical Approval (ETA13/0380) for the production of the Gebrik insulating brick slip, Belstone insulating stone tile and Gecaro insulating terracotta tile cladding systems. Required by law since July 2013, CE marking indicates a compliance with EU legislation of a product, and by affixing the CE marking on Gebrik brick slip system, Belstone and Gecaro, Isosystems has declared its sole responsibility and conformity with all of the legal requirements to achieve CE marking, to enable the free movement and sale of their products throughout the European Economic Area. A European Technical Approval is a technical assessment of the fitness for use of a product for an intended use and is comparable with national harmonised standards. It has been issued by an EOTA Member Body for the production of Gebrik, Belstone and Gecaro by Isosystems and will be used for the revision of the existing BBA certificate (07/4403), which is currently in the final stages of issue. All of this means that you can have confidence to specify and use Gebrik in the knowledge that it continues to be certified and approved for use here in the UK.
