Sandstone Restoration Works - April 11, 2014 The bankermasons have been carrying out conservation works to the reclaimed quatrefoils recovered from Margam Park. The quatrefoils can be seen in the background of an article in 1902 where they were published in the Country Life Magazine (see photo). The quatrefoils were carefully transported back to our Cardiff workshops where the stonemasons carried out the grafting process. Once this was set the new stone was carved to replicate the original profile and finally pairing in of the stones occurred.
