Gear Box Repair

On receipt of a damaged Component the parts are thoroughly cleaned, test assembled and prepared for TIG Welding. Where the break is at a structural point and the weld will not penetrate fully the material is cut away and the void filled. If parts are missing we make up patch pieces. The end result is as strong as can be achieved and sometimes stronger than the original. We consider the appearance of a weld almost as important as its structural integrity but where a machined surface is required we will resurface, bore or tap as required.
