At Filon, we believe in more than providing first-class products and exceptional service, we’re committed to positively impacting our community with dedicated support to charitable causes through sponsorships and donations. We support organisations where our sponsorships make a difference and have a positive effect both on the organisation we give to, and others within the community. 

What Charitable Causes Do We Support?

We work with charities that align with Filon’s core values: teamwork, integrity, and respect. We demonstrate our commitment to making a meaningful, wider impact by supporting local and national charities and organisations that share these values.

Our Recent Sponsorships:

In 2024, we have supported Hednesford Town U10’s football team, Burntwood Rugby Club U12’s, Burntwood Scout Club, and most recently supported a very remarkable project with 12th Stafford (Berkswich) Scout Club, all of which are local to us.

We have also proudly hosted fundraising events such as Macmillan Coffee Morning and Wear it Pink, supporting Breast Cancer Now. 

For the third year, we are looking forward to hosting our Filon Festive Fayre which will take place in December. One of our favourite opportunities to raise money for our final fundraiser of the year.

2023 Sponsorships:

In 2023, we sponsored numerous charitable events, pledging a total £5,000 to community schools, sports teams, and charity events.  

Our team’s fundraising events, including our remarkable Snowdon Challenge, raised a further £5,032 for The Pathway Project, Royal British Legion, Save the Children, Macmillan Cancer Support, Alzheimer’s Research UK, and Cancer Research UK.

We also supported Elite Acrobatics, who travelled to Portugal to represent England in the Dance World Cup, and Primitas Learning Partnership, our local multi-academy trust of schools.

Upcoming Sponsorships:

We work on a request basis and respond to opportunities as they arise. The Company allocates a charity budget annually to distribute to multiple organisations to maximise its effect. Our Social Committee meets regularly to collectively create an events plan for the year ahead, and we are eager to be working on some upcoming events for 2025.

We are so much more than just a business; we are a part of this community and as such, we have a responsibility to contribute positively to the world around us. This is where our charitable partnerships come in to effect. These partnerships are not just about writing cheques; they are about building relationships. They are about leveraging our resources, our skills, and our passion to make a real difference in people’s lives. Whether it’s supporting local youth sports teams, fundraising events, or any other cause close to our hearts, these partnerships allow us to truly amplify our social impact.
