Anti-Slip Treads for University Steps

13-05-2019

Wasn’t last weekend gorgeous? Now that Spring has officially appeared AND the weather has finally started to improve to the extent that we have actually seen the sun we’ve found that our enquiries for anti-slip solutions for our customers premises have increased as Health & Safety and Facilities Managers take a wander around their premises to check out any possible problem areas. To this end, we received an enquiry from one of our regular contractors for a solution for some outside steps at a West Country University. They used our Step-to-Safety Anti-Slip Stair Treads in Stone Grey and painted on a white edge and I must say they look very smart and of course are doing exactly what they say they will do – making the steps anti-slip and safe for the students using them daily. What do you think? anti-slip_treads_bristol_uni_1 Our anti-slip Tread Covers give extremely good anti-slip right across the foot area which is safer than just using a standard nosing, which just covers the edge of the step. anti-slip_step_covers_2 anti-slip_stair_tread_covers Our Step-to-Safety Anti-Slip Treads also come in additional colours to the Stone Grey ones that were used on this occasion. They also come in Safety Yellow, Beige and Black with Yellow or Black with White Nosings, so there is plenty of choice for individual requirements and taste. They are very easy to install and we can normally supply them within a couple of days, which, if time is important, is of course very useful. We can also drill and counter sink them (although this does add to the delivery time) and this is what we did for the university. They were screwed in place, making a nice neat job. As I have “blogged” before, not only are our Step-to-Safety ranges suitable for use in schools, hospital grounds, pubs, hotels, golf courses and industrial premises to name a few, they can also be used within the garden environment. In the past we have supplied many different solutions for different customers for completely different problems. Take a look at our other blogs to see how these look. Now that “Spring has finally sprung” and Mother Nature is giving us a show of beautiful spring flowers and of course the sun is shining, why not take a wander around your premises and see if we can help you with any problem areas. We’re only a phone call or email away and are always happy to try to help. Posted: March 14, 2014 by Sharon
