Advantages of biometrics

It is preffered by many to use Biometric Characterististics instead of password or PIN based methods for a range of reasons. One of those reasons include the prevention of "Buddy Punching" which is a term used to describe an unauthorised person from using valid fobs or cards to gain access to restricted areas.Fingerprint scanning removes the need to remember passwords or carry access tokens which, more often than not, are needed to be replaced at some point. Biometric options are also easier for when someone needs to be added or removed from the system, and would not cost the company any more money for new key cards or fobs.
