09-10-2014

Scope of Work: • A non-intrusive survey scan to approximately 9000m2 using the Hilti PS1000X-Scan to the lower mall and upper mall floors to locate services prior to removal of existing tile and screed being replaced with new screed and tiles. The services that were located by the scans were marked up on to drawings provided by the client, this allowed the tile contractor to work safely avoiding hitting services identified by the scans. • A non-intrusive survey scan concrete beams and columns to confirm size and orientation. In addition confirm number and size of main bars, diameter size and spacing using the Hilti PS1000X-Scan and Hilti PS250 Ferroscan. A report was prepared for the structural engineer with the data from the scans to enable them to do structural calculations with minimum disruption to the shopping mall and tenants within the flats above the centre.
