Vibration in Buildings In Kent
BS 6472 : 'Evaluation of Human Exposure to Vibration in Buildings (1 Hz to 80 Hz)' is a primary UK vibration standard used to assess the acceptability of vibration impacting on people. The most common use of BS 6472 is for assessing levels of vibration from railways, industry and construction. The standard provides criteria for four categories of buildings which are: critical working areas; residential ; offices; and workshops. A key feature of BS 6472 is the concept of the Vibration Dose Value (VDV). Vibration Dose Values (VDV) are used to assess levels of vibration. An estimated VDV called eVDV can also be used. The standard provides VDV criteria which are used to predict the likelihood of adverse impact for daytime and night-time periods.Visit the MRL Acoustics Ltd website for more information on Vibration in Buildings In Kent
