NEW DURAPIPE COMPOSITE UNIONS HIT THE PIPEKIT SHELVES

We received our first batch of Durapipe’s new range of stainless steel composite unions this week and we’ll be stocking up quickly to meet the market demands for an alternative to traditional brass connections. Developed for use within corrosive and abrasive environments, the new 316L stainless steel composite unions allow installers to join various threaded connections between plastic pipe systems and stainless steel systems, easily and effectively without fear of damaging pipework. The range offers exceptional chemical resistance properties and is particularly suited to marine applications, in which salt water can quickly corrode brass materials causing costly repairs. Users of compressed air systems will also benefit greatly from the longevity of the new product, as many compressor oils can attack brass components, leading to frequent replacements. The new stainless steel products will be available from Pipekit for Durapipe’s SuperFLO ABS, PVC-U and Airline Xtra pipework systems, with both male and female threaded connection options, in sizes from 16mm up to 63mm and ½” up to 2”.
