PIPEKIT CROWNED MICRO BUSINESS OF THE YEAR AT SHROPSHIRE STAR EXCELLENCE IN BUSINESS AWARDS 2016

23-09-2016

Small but perfectly formed. Pipekit secures the gong for best Micro Business at last Thursday’s Shropshire Star Excellence in Business Awards 2016, beating off stern competition from GWR Fasteners, House of Party and R&D Tax Claims. The Micro Business award, which was a new category this year, was open to businesses between 1 and 10 employees and was looking for a company that could demonstrate: dynamic leadership, tangible levels of success, smart working practices and top level customer service. Pipekit, which was launched five years ago this May by owner and M.D Martyn Rowlands, was deemed the best on the night and took home the coveted prize. 2016_EIBA_MICRO_BUSINESS_WINNER Commenting on the win, Martyn Rowlands said: “I am elated at our success and really pleased for the recognition this award bestows on the whole team. We’re small but demonstrate great strength in depth and work hard to offer high levels of technical expertise and customer service”. He continues: “It was a very memorable night alongside some great competitors and leading businesses, so I am very honoured we were selected as one of the winners. We certainly enjoyed our moment”. The Annscroft based team was amongst 29 businesses who battled it out for nine awards, under the historic planes of RAF Cosford. Pipekit was also one of only five companies who were nominated for two awards. Pipekit was a finalist in the Excellence In Learning & Skills category as well following its continuous investment in their apprenticeship and training programmes, despite being a young business. The award went to Fabweld Steel Products
