Selwood Supports Wessex WaterAid Campaign

Selwood has accepted an invitation from Wessex Water to be a partner in its Wessex for West Africa 2012/13 initiative. Apart from working closely with Wessex Water, it also gives Pump Hire Director Richard Brown a place on a WaterAid country programme visit to experience first hand WaterAid’s lifesaving work. He has already visited the small, densely populated former French colony Burkina Faso which is ranked as one of the poorest countries in the world. WaterAid is supported by a number of the major water companies throughout the UK as well as many of their contractors who work alongside them to help raise awareness and funds, Selwood, as part of the partnership agreement, has pledged to raise £20K for WaterAid by organising its own events and joining in with other Wessex/WaterAid initiatives. WaterAid’s vision is a world where everyone has access to safe water and sanitation.
