Chris Clarke and his partner Liz, run Skell Wrought Iron, a traditional Yorkshire family business started by his father in 1957 and still going strong today.

All ironwork is handcrafted by himself.

They specialise in making quality, hand crafted wrought iron work, either made to their unique designs or to customers specifications. If you want it – Skell Wrought Iron can most probably make it!

They make a wide range of goods, many to order such as Hand Rails, Railings, Curtain Poles, Gates, Security Grills, Flood Gates, Rose Arches and Air Grate Covers.

They also produce items kept in stock that can be delivered, such as Boot Jacks, Wellie Holders, Boot Scrapers, Hanging Basket Brackets, Weather Vanes, Pet Memorials, House Sign Brackets, Bike Racks and Bird Feeders. The list is virtually endless! These items can also be adapted to your own requirements.

Any items that have scroll work in their design are hot forged by Chris and not bought in as some manufacturers do. So when you buy an item from Skell Wrought Iron, in almost every case, the item is 100% hand made.
