Chiller Replacement Work - Southampton Marina

Frequent failures and expensive repair bills on existing 'Trane' LCGAE 207 Air Cooled chillers located at a prestigious office complex in the 'Ocean Village' area of Southampton Marina called for swift replacement work to be carried out. Within a very short time our Engineers De-commissioned both of the Trane CGEA Chillers ( approx 160 Kw each ) and replaced them with 2 x Carrier 30RA160 'Aquasnap' Air Cooled Chillers. Each providing 167 Kw of Cooling to the building. The Majority of the replacement and cranage work undertaken during just one weekend with final commissioning taking place just 4 days after. The roof area on this site was particularly confined and the introduction of the new 30RA Chillers enabled additional service and air space around the equipment to allow on-going maintenance and upkeep of the Chillers. The ultra quiet and efficient 'Flying Bird' condenser fans on the new chillers also helps to push the heat rejected from the equipment out through the roof support gridwork Additional work was required to replace DX cooling circuits to the 'Fresh Air' Air Handling unit and various other Split Systems was also undertaken at the same time to enhance the entire building.
